St.Paddy's Day kitchen Party - Putting the Rock in shamrock!
There will be Stew!
This St.Patricks Day Jasper will be treated too not one but TWO red-head celtic female fronted indie rock acts, one complete with electric fiddle, plus Jaspers own Group du Jour. Roisins authentic (and possibly questionable) Irish stew and soda bread will be availible, plus Guuniess promotions, to make you Irish flavoured weeknight complete.Acts detailed below:
RYMESTONE (Prince Albert, Sask) "gritty, female fronted post-punk prairie act. They serve up a poetic grunge cocktail that is one part electric, one part forest, one part frustration and one part love and longing. Shaken and served over ice." Currently touring their debut album Neighborhood.
0STELLA 0Stella [oh-Stella] is the solo project of Edmonton-based, Irish-Canadian artist Liz Pomeroy. Ruthlessly authentic alt-rock blends with traditional Irish fiddle to create catchy pop melodies with oft-politically charged lyrics drenched in irony and rebelliousness. Reminiscent of Garbage, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, St. Vincent, PJ Harvey and The Frames, 0Stella’s music is both socially conscious and confessional.
GROUP DU JOUR Jaspers own stalwart locals serving you whatever the heck they want to, and you will enjoy it.
